Lunch today, unexpected, at a little forest-and-alpage café-gîte a little off our trail: salade forestiere: as you see, hardcooked egg, good lettuce, good tomatoes, croûtons, bacon, dressing.

Then, after a tiring walk into town, a decent dinner: a delicious gaspacho with an eggplant toast and a mixed salad; then steak and potatoes, with too much squiggle and not enough salt.
