Val d'Isere, July 14, 2016—

A REMARKABLY QUIET Quaorze Juillet in this ski town, but we found a nice restaurant, thanks to the frindly English girl at the hotel desk.

I settled for a brandade de morue, salt cod whipped with cream ad potatoes, and served with poached, then browned cloves of garlic. Nothing else needed.
