Eastside Road, December 10, 2011—DOLDRUMS TODAY, with one exception. The normal breakfast: toast (though buttered this morning, which is unusual) and cappuccinos. An apple for lunch. The last of that rescued-cassoulet soup and the usual green salad for dinner, with an ice cream sundae for dessert.
The one exception was a delicious Portuguese-style cheese nibbled at a friend's house: Joe Matos's St. George cheese, which Gaye likes enough to buy a wheel at a time, and I could imagine doing the same. Delicious.
