TO OUR FRIENDS in Santa Rosa for dinner: piroshki, bought from and made by the good women of St. Seraphim's. Piroshki, pirozhki, pierogi: however you spell it, mince stuffing, usually meat, wrapped in unleavened pastry, then cooked. These were meat piroshki, though one turned out to be cabbage and another one or two mushroom, and nicely flavored; I suspect some clove and cinnamon in there along with the salt and pepper. Green salad.An inexpensive Barbera we'd brought along, 2008, don't recall the label
