DINNER WITH FRIENDS to celebrate their new kitchen in their newly rebuilt house — spare, clean, elegant, serene. A perfect evening: conversation, olives, poblanos, Martinis.
And then dinner, cooked outside on the grill: Salmon with peppers and grilled lemons, broad beans with grilled halved shallots; and perfectly roasted little potatoes from the new oven.Dessert! Cardamom ice cream with toasted nuts; those grilled nectarines…
